Description/Taste
Micro-Fuchsia™ flowers are made up of five petals attached to a small green stem. From its center protrude pink and yellow tipped stamens. With a neutral scent the flavor of the Micro-Fuchsia™ flower is mildly sweet with subtle hints of lemon.

A member of the genus Fuchsia, Micro-Fuchsia™ are a perennial flower and member of the family Onagraceae. There are over 100 different species of Fuchsia and upwards of 5,000 cultivars, Micro-Fuchsia™ is a petite variety of the flower and was developed by Fresh Origins MicroGreens.
Applications
Micro-Fuchsia™ flowers are perfect for use in fresh preparations. Use as garnish on cakes, ice cream and delicate pasteries. Micro-Fuchsia™ flowers can be added to green and grain salads or used as an edible garnish on cold soups, quiche and ceviche. Add whole flowers to lemonade and white wine sangria or freeze flowers into popsicles and ice cubes.
Geography/History
Fuchsia flowers are believed to have originally grown wild in Mexico, Central America, New Zealand and tropical regions of South America. The first published description and naming of the plant came from the French botanist Charles Plumier in 1696 who named the plant Fuchsia triphylla flore coccineo after a German botanist, Leonhart Fuchs.
